Exhaust pipe part help
I am looking to replace the mufflers on my 79. All of the Corvette vendors offer a muffler with the pipe that attaches to the muffler inlet (approximately 90 degree bend, but not quite) either included or already welded to the muffler. However, I would like to choose my own mufflers, and without the hassle of going to a shop and having a pipe fabricated, can someone tell me where I can locate and purchase these short pipes? I might be able to find something close at the local auto parts stores, but I would like to have the correct part if it is available out there. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance!

have you checked if the particular brand muffler you want comes with the pipe? For instance the muffler below comes with the pipe as a separate piece.

That's the catch 22...the mufflers i am purchasing are universal and don't come with the extra connector. But obviously someone (Walker at the very least) produces that part, i just need to locate a part number and someone that sells it. Surely I can't be the only person that has attempted to put aftermarket mufflers on their C3 that has run into this problem?!
