I have to replace a couple of the outer seals on my o-ring brake pistons (don't ask). The original seals which were part of the kit from Corvette Central are the ones at the bottom of the pic. The new ones which a guy got for me from Napa Brakes seem to have an additional seal (next to piston). Is this meant to go in behind the other seal? I tried it in there but it seems to restrict the piston movement. I would appreciate your advice.
UP 453 is a seal kit for the front calipers. I believe you are referring to the original style seal for the piston. I can not tell you if the dust boot would be the same for an "o" ring style piston or not. In the picture it does appear to be the same. Mike
100% correct...BTW to the OP, try using a socket and hammer to tap the dust boot in, or a (smaller) hammer and a PVC plumbing cap from your local home improvement center, if that is you have those in the UK

Thanks for your help guys. I have used the outer seal only. Yes I assume that this particular kit contained the seal for the original lip seal style as well. Rear brakes are on again. Now for the motor and transmission tomorrow!
