PLEASE HELP! Track down my old Vette
Hello all, I will spare the looooonnnngg sob story 
about how I am in this predicament and hit the high points. I purchased an 80 model from the original owner in Montgomery Al. and was forced to sell after about a year of ownership. Some time passed and I happened across a for sale ad for a Corvette that matched the description of my old vette. I called the guy up only to be told that he had sold the day before 
So here we are some years later and through some research and a tad bit of begging I have determined that the car is still registered in my area BUT my police contact said that he is unable to give details concerning the EXACT whereabouts of the car. I have run out of ideas on this so I am reaching out hoping that someone on here has a solution.

Having the VIN is a great start. Please try to sort out the car's full decriptors... colors, options, unique aspects, dates purchased/sold, where "your area" is, etc, then post a comprehensive "wanted" thread in the C3 Cars For Sale/Wanted classifieds section and maybe someone can help.

I'm OK with listing this in the C3 Wanted section. Its just that the OP appeared to offer little if any identifying information beyond the car being an '80 purchased in AL.
