Default engine compartment detail

Hi guys just wondering if anybody has any pics of their engine compartment nice and clean and painted just before you put the engine in. I'm at the stage of starting to clean and detail my 74 and just want some ideas on what to paint and what not to thanks in advance

Thanks a lot these are exactly what I was lookin for and by way very very nice work. I guess I was a little lucky my car leaked so much oil and trans fluid that it coated everything so there is no rust but hell to clean thanks again

Hi Dawson your compartment looks great I got a lot of work to do. One thing intrigues me though is you have the rad and shroud in place before the engine goes in. Is this an easier way?

Old motor came out with the hood still on. It fits if you leave the water pump off.

LOL, you know the hardest part of doing this was the feeling I should sand the frame down to remove all the slag and crap to get a smooth finish.

I really had to check my OCD at the door.

Some day though I'll do a body off and blast the sand the frame.
