68 vert top tension cables

Does anyone have a description or ideally pictures of exactly where both ends of the tension cables go. I think I know where the solid end goes. Right in the curve at the rear top corner. But where does the spring end go? The cable lengths are 68 only but I an not sure of the year of my top frame.

As with many things 1968 related, there was a change during the model year. I've attached the service bulletin that went with the change. It shows the old and new locations. I hope you can see the scanned images OK.
