car fax report?
what exactly do you get when you get a carfax report, besides reported accidents does it list how many owners have had the car too? and is it for newer cars only or will a car from the early 1970's show up as well.
just wondering how many people have owned the 74 vette I just bought + I suspect it was in an accident at one time. I don't want to waste my time/money if it's not gonna work with an older car.

Carfax goes back to 1981. It will have some, but likely not all major repairs, reported accidents and will give an estimate of owners. Good for checking if mileage is honest though, particularly on a car like a Corvette that rolls over after 100k miles.
