Man, frame is definitely gone along with a good portion of the birdcage. Those #2 body mounts are gone which means the windshield frame probably is too
Somebody could restore it if they replace the frame and birdcage, possibly the doors and anything else which rusts... Is the VIN tag intact?
Do the numbers match? I've heard of sillier projects people consider to save a numbers car.
It actually looks like it was sitting in a grassy area for a long time. Somewhere where moisture was just hovering under it. The body is so oxidized, it was not covered at all. I do not think all that was just from driving it around Michigan.

Yep. The vin tag is still on the car and it has a Clear title. The engine is original and numbers matching. Tried to sell it and the factory auto trans on here a while back but got no interest. I recently sold the engine and trans to a local guy for $600.00.
As soon as I remove everything worth removing I am going to sell the body. I am sure someone would want the fiberglass body as it dosent look to have ever been in any type of accident.

I am glad that you are recycling this one to, if anything, help prolong the life of another few 'vettes, sir. If I had the $$$ I'd get that body from you and take my time getting it all back together. I hope someone does save what is left.
Does the rust crumble in your hands when you touch it? It looks pretty bad in some of the photos. I think from the threads you are parting this out. I agree the body looked good. The rest of the car. NOT.
Hate to say it, but with every one that bites the dust, the rest of the C3's become just a tad bit worth more. I hate to see any old car rot away. Did you see on "What's my car worth?" The low mile 69 vette completely stock and original everything sell for $800,000!!!! MY gosh.
