78 C-3 question

I just had a 1978 corvette in my shop for a complete detail and I noticed that there is not one stingray badge on the car. The owner bought the car new and told me he never removed them. I understand that all the 78's had the 25th anniversary badges on them,so did they leave the stingray badge off for that reason or,like the 68's,are they not considered a stingray?

the word Stingray was used 69 to 76 but it's just an emblem.

None on a '78. Just the "25th" emblems. L82 on the hood, if a L82 car.
Flags on the the front fenders.

The Stingray badge was installed from 69 through 76 Corvettes.

I have a SA 78, no Stingray badge.
