Not mine or anyone I know, but I like a lot of what this person has done. Only thing I don't really care for is the spoilers front and rear.
Ahh come one now. Set aside those spoilers and look closely at it. Steeroids, Gymkana suspension front and rear, five speed, wilwood brakes all around, and that motor, custom exhaust, roll bar, Recaro seats. It is not orginal by any means, but I bet it handles and runs way better than it first did in 74. Someone spent a lot making it look and run that way, but those spoilers! Who does that and thinks it looks good? Are they functional at least? Anyone, anyone, Bueller?
I could have predicted that some would call it an abomination. I think it shows a good deal of work and effort to form the car into what the owner wanted. The work that was done seems, (to me), to be good quality, aside from me wondering how they set up vacuum boosted brakes with a blower. The spoilers, while not my cup of tea, do show that they were built to be functional. I would want better rollover protection, if those spoilers were that much of a need. If all of the work was paid for, I am sure he has more than the asking price invested. I enjoy looking at other people’s builds when the work is completed in a decent manner – I may find an idea to steal.
What spoilers? I only see a cowcatcher and an airbrake.
It's a shame how two simple mods can ruin a car. If those weren't on the car would would be talking about how nicely modified the car is.
I said like others said "spoilers" I can't speak for others but I used it like a blanket term and you did know just what people were talking about
I never said they ruined the car I said they were only loved by the builder..okay just a guess on my part I will stand corrected when someone says they love the "spoliers" ahem, cowcatcher and an airbrake,
Is the car what I would build? no, is the build very nice? you bet!
I see very few cars get posted here that have any modifications not at the very least damnned through very faint praise....post a project you wanna buy and see how much trash talk and dissing it starts...
The rear spoiler idea was maybe copied from Brian Hobaugh's '65 red coupe? It works well on his car but not so much on this '74.
The front spoiler is a carry over idea from the rear spoiler that spiraled out of control?
Seems a lot of dough and a little "d'oh!" in my opinion - but that's all it is - another opinion from someone who doesn't really matter on the wide web universe.
But those race checkered half-shafts though...definitely adds a few $k
I think it's owned by an orthodontist. I never met one that didn't think everything needed braces.
Maybe in a couple years it's teeth will be straight and you can take off the head gear.

Nice looking car, but they'd have to pay me 35K to take it with those spoilers and I've put some crazy things on cars in my time.
With the exception of the bolt on ground effects, bug screen on the reverse lights, gauges under the cowel and (arguably) the price, I love this car. Everything that I don't like can be removed in an afternoon except for the deck holes. I wonder what they'd actually take for it?
