Got my seats back.
Last of the big ticket items on my restoration. I bought a set of seats for a 97 Vette and made them work in my car. Seats are full power and lumbar and very comfortable, unlike the original seats that did not lock into position, and were in full recline all the time. Then I tried to put them in the car. First problem was the 97 seats sat a bit high, like bumping your head on the top of the car high. I modified a set of brackets and did some bending and remounting the power hardware to get them 3" lower in the car. At the lowest setting, its perfect for me (I am 5-8'), but anyone over 6' is probably not going to be very comfortable in the car. I tried to match the blue colors as close as I could at the upholstery shop, its a hair off, but I can live with it. Curious as to what others have done.
