My speedo cable was toast, and I just chopped it after the engine install, so I need to get another one.
I bought one at O,O,O O'Reilly a few years ago and it didn't fit properly. The internal portion was round and the internal fitting on the speedo and trans appears to be square?
My speedo itself might be shot, but I'm not in the mood to pull the dash out just yet. Just want to see if I can get it 'serviceable' until I actually pull the cluster out.
I replaced mine from Corvette Central. On my 73, the cable is in two parts, a lower and upper.
I just needed the lower and fit perfectly with no problems.

I have a '73 also. But I think it's 1 piece for manual, 2 piece for automatic?
