I need opinions on what power steering pump I should buy. My options are
1. One from AutoZone etc
2. Buy a rebuilt one from Bair's or Willcox
3. Try and find one and rebuild it.
This is going on a 79.
Thanks
Joey

I am interested,
I read horror stories on here about craptastic replacement parts,
I would assume that the corvette power streeting pump wasnt only on corvettes so I believe I would call my local stores and see which had a life time replacement on them and go that way...hum.

AutoZone has a limited life time warranty. Going to try and see.
I have read on here that the Corvette power steering pump is different. Don't forget that it uses the older power assisted steering system and therefore, uses lower hydraulic pressure than the more common and newer recirculated ball gear box system. The pressure relief valve spring has to be the correct one, or you will blow out seals. Lou.
