the car came with a 308 when I built engine I went to a 373 for a little more off the line . not really interested in off line any more . question at higher speed say 60 plus which has more response .back when I had the 308 I had the speedo up to 152mph . the 373 seemed to kind of wind out at about 125 . its been a long time but it seemed that the 308 would accelerate quicker at the higher end or am I dreaming ?

your ring and pinion is merely torque multiplication. your rpm at highway speeds and your specific engine's torque curve will answer your question of how much kick in your pants your engine give you at various specific rpms.
stock engines have a designed torque curve lower in the rpm range. different cams allow you to adjust that curve into any rpm you choose. different manifolds, carbs and headers allow the engine to breath better at your specific rpm you want
A TH700R4 and a set of 3.73's is a fantastic combination so if you have a TH350 I highly recommend making the swap if your car is a daily driver and sees a lot of freeway use..................
