Default What is your low point?

Where do you scrape when you scrape your underside?
I cant be the only one who's made some sweet noises under there.

I would have had some serious issues had I not dumped the 1st set of header I bought and opted to install short tubes.

I doubt I could have made it out of the driveway without ripping these off.

The 2nd set of header worked much better.

Sidepipes as they pass under the car going sideways...the 4 pipes laying flat.

Funny thing is I ONLY hit them if I'm not hella careful over very specific speedbumps. 9 times out of 10, I'm in great shape. There is one style of bump, though, that I always hit. If it's too steep on the backside.

By comparison, my brother's heavily modified 2006 Mustang can barely make it out of a shopping center without scraping. Stock ride-height, too. Has all the 'Eleanor' adornments that makes the nose particularly prone to scraping. If not that, then the side-dump exhaust. He almost needs to scout his exit strategy before taking it somewhere.

By comparison, my being able to load my 1970 onto my dovetail trailer with minimal fuss is downright amazing. There are many times when I thought I should have scraped something that I was fine-as-wine. Altogether, a very forgiving car.

I believe it will be the bolts that go through the ends of the front transverse leaf spring...

Mine use to be the SFI bell housing for the clutch, but I hit it a few years ago bending the flange and had to buy a new lower profile bell housing. Sucked because when the flange bent it tweeked the entire alignment between the tranny & engine and I couldn't hardly shift.

Now, I would say its still a toss up between the bell housing and the exhaust just forward of the rear tires.

My lowest point is my Oil pan bolt. It sits just below my side pipe flanges I have to be careful over speed bumps.
