Default 82 driver's headlight dim?

Ok the last few times driving the car at night as soon as I turn on the lights the driver's low beam is dim and going to high beams neither one will light. If I reach up underneath and wiggle the plug I get my full brightness back along with the driver's high beam. So that tells me there is a issue with the plug end for the low beam. I bought a pigtail to replace it but since all the wires first run through the driver's low beam the pigtail I bought did not have enough wires to replace. So I popped out the terminals and cleaned them up with my Dremel then crimped down a smidge for a better contact. Well it seemed to work for a short time and now it's doing it again. Any suggestions?

Sounds like a ground problem.

Seems like the headlight ground goes to the radiator support? Doesnt take much corrossion to make a big difference.

I've checked that and it seems fine. Like I say if you wiggle the plug it comes back.
