Another recent post requested in anyone had lined their t-tops. Thread got closed right away, because if was a resurrection of an old post, however, new poster did not get his question answered.
So here is what I did. Bought some thin, black, no pile carpet at Lowes, made a template using piece of heavy paper of the inside of the top, cut the carpet to the same size, used gel super glue (a lot) on the glass, fit the carpet insert in place and done. Been like this for years in cold weather and hot weather.
My liners were velcroed in .... I took them out... The tops live on the rack out back. If for some obscure reason I actually put the tops on I gained some headroom...! Carpet looks nice though ....

Hope this helps.
Thanks Larry,
That was me. I like the option, I knew it was an old thread, but was wondering if anyone did this to their 70, or there about. Thanks for the pics. If anyone else has some; I'd love to see it. Take care.

I will add it greatly improves cabin coolness. Even though t-tops are tinted, there is heat gain through the open glass. Carpet stops it almost completely.
