I tried a couple that had compelling ads but returned them because of very poor quality. The Corvette Central flannel cover was of poor quality - good design, but it was manufactured by the Chinaman or woman (per label) poorly. The right side badly sagged compared to the left. Corvette Central refunded me though I had to force the matter with eBay. It was definitely not "heavy as lead" per an earlier post, just sub-quality.
The "layered" (usually in "breathable" grey) C3 cover options sold by most of the vendors are comparatively light but they are either made of a cheap-feeling and definitely non-form fitting polyester and/or treated organics (yes, highly refined wood pulp - read up on it).
The California covers mentioned in an earlier post come in several varieties, but they are very, very expensive, making them of low value in my own opinion -- and, oh yeah -- they will charge you extra if you want them to leave off their prominent and unattractive bold logo. So, you are held hostage to advertise for them. Or else.
I finally settled on - and am extremely pleased with - a weather-treated, very soft and sturdy "Sunforger" flannel (100% heavy weight, pre-shrunk cotton). A C3 brethren brought it up on this forum, and its referenced on others. The Sunforger originally came to market as a cover for upscale boats, but they expanded to Corvette covers several years ago. It cost $262.70 from Paragon. It has a lot of attention to detail. It fits my C3 like a loose, but still hugging globe. Even the bottom elastic (with loops for a cable lock) is a small bungee cord material instead of cheap elastic like the other two I tried. The inside flannel is slightly tufted so its soft as a glove. It is washable, without shrinking according to the label. The outside seems identical in both feel and color to the heavy duty Carhart overalls that outdoorsmen wear. I'm only using mine as an indoor cover, but when the garage door is open the car is exposed to the elements so it is a nice compromise for me. For some reason none (zero) of our regular C3 forum vendors sell it, but it incorporates several panels which shows off the wonderful curves of the C3 and appears as though it will last for a good 20-30 years.
Hope this helps.
Dave

Covercraft has a nice selection of materials and colors. You can order C3 specific covers also.
I have used nothing but Covercraft Weathershield on any of my vehicles. They last for a long time and the Weathershield can be used both indoors & outdoors. There also other "types" of covers that they offer. May be more expensive than others, but well worth it IMO.
Search their sellers and go through all of them to find the best price. They fit really well too, just about to the ground on the tires.... Tom
