Has anyone removed their windshield washer tank. I am trying to get mine out of my 81, what a PIA!! I did not want to remove the master cylinder on top so I removed the charcoal canister from the bottom of the car. But, I still cannot get the plastic washer tank out! I have got the hose off, the electrical connection off and the screws out but the tank itself is just too big. I also have the goose neck fill removed. I really do not want to remove the inner fender. TIA.
I just removed the tank from my 77 yesterday from the bottom as you described.
I checked the parts catalog and my tank is a 5 inch square, they made a change in late 79, so yours is an 8 inch square. That probably explains the problem you are having.
I find my Vette to be the most odd and dificult car I have ever owned to work on. I think of it more as a factory kit car than a real car.
It only takes 2 minutes to pull a master cylinder off......................
Yes, but I am not sure that the tank will come out through there either. I just put everything back together, never used the washer before so I guess I never will! Just had the new windshield installed so its nice and clean.
