Temp control vacuum leak
Just got a 1979 a couple of weeks ago and getting accustomed to it. today, I move the control for the air conditioning and set it to heat. Just to test it. When I stopped, I hear a loud vacuum leak from the console. Sound goes away when in the cool mode.
Accessing the control, I started the car and moved the temperature control and could hear the air leak from the part that has 4 or 5 vacuum lines connected to it.
Note: Air works fine and my headlights too.
I'm assuming... that this is not normal and I need to replace the item - whatever its called.
Any idea?
