Default Back on the road!

Finally got my car put back together and took it out for it's first drive with new paint. Went to a little monthly car gathering we have here and had a blast. couple of minor trim bits still left to do, but it felt great to have it back on the road.

Disregard the overweight oaf in the forground

The car looks great and you must be very pleased and excited to be able to get back on the road with it. Happy trails!

What part of the world are you in? I know of a vendor in Georgia that had 4 or 5 when I stopped in there. it's been 3 years, but I'll bet he still has 'em. I couldn't justify the shipping, but he had a real nice one with black vinyl for $800.- that needed only new weatherstripping.

Mine was pretty beat, it had flown off of a car at medium speed, but I only paid $200.- for it. Worst part is it was missing the stainless trim, which is made of unobtainum. I could really use the rear glass trim if anyone has a source. I found one of the three pieces on e-bay for $400.-!

I like 'em too. I couldn't afford a used set of originals, so I made these. I have around $200.- in them, good sound (quieter than the originals), and I'm making an aluminum trim piece that will fit behind them under the door.

Thanks Hans - do you have that Vendor's name or number by chance? I know the parts houses have them but I'd like to find a decent GM top.
Thanks

Atlanta Corvette.
2768 DeKalb tecnology parkway, Atlanta GA. If you look at their web page, it's the building on the left, full of old vettes and parts .

You guys are gonna kill me, but its an old MG color, and not even an exterior one! One of the paint colors of the MG engines I built over the years was this amazing burgundy you see here. it's a little more red than stock, but that's what I had them code for this car.

It is an original burgundy vette, just slightly off.
