I never knew that the 454 was an L-88 but the seller said so,
Also while I have heard of Barris and Von dutch never heard of Larry Watson but according to the seller he was right up there with them...
I'm surprised that Gene Winfield wasn't thrown in for good measure!! Hey I'm sure it found a home in the local shows, ton of work with questionable results ... but hey if you like a pink wannabe super bird, this one could be yours.
Dave
P.S. I swear I saw this on Sharknado 3 the other night
Definitely a ton of work that looks like it was well done. The wing, the color, and the interior are just horrible. It's automatic too so I wonder if it was built for a female owner?
Larry died about five years ago. He was a big part of the custom car world from the 50's up. At the 2009 Winfield Watson car show I had a chance to talk paint with him in (my wife has a vehicle he painted in the 70's). He was a real down to earth guy.
Those tail lights!
FF:
Headlights is spelled with one word, yet tail lights is divided into two words. The reason given is that taillights is awkward for reading.
Like the gills, exterior color is livable, wing too, interior color hurts my eyes, just can't get past the "organic" license plate mounting. The lp mount reminds me of something Giger would do.
If the car was in fact done for a young lady back in the day, I wonder what she thought about it.
