A couple of month's ago, the Hot Rod Power Tour came to St. Louis Gateway dragstrip. Wife and I were doing the Power Tour this year in the vette. She had never been down a dragstrip in her life so I thought I would take her down the strip. The starting line let me line up against my friend and his son in their C5 vette for a grudge match. We both took it easy off the line not wanting to break our cars as the Power Tour was headed south all the way down to Baton Rouge, LA.
We both cut horrible lights, rolled them out and then punched it resulting in really slow ET's (don't ask, lol). It was neck and neck all the way down with me getting the win light by .003 of a second in the right lane. Wife had a blast screaming all the way down, lol.
