I get the distinct impression the reviewer does not like any C3 Corvettes.
Interesting how he singles out the later years, implies they were all the same? I'm not aware of ANY cars from that era, ones which were affordable for most, which weren't hit hard by government and insurance mandates. If performance is the only issue, easy enough to update.
I have seen such stories before most seem the result of some bloated up windbag all butthurt and jealous of cats who do like and own the car they are trashing....
People love to bash the 75-82 Corvettes, but in reality they were the pinnacle of performance from that era.
In 79, the best Ford could do was a 140 hp 302 Mustang, that I think was only available with an auto (a stick required ordering the 130 hp turbo 4). The Porsche 911's were faster, but the "base" 180 hp 911SC was twice as much money, as the Corvette. The 924 was closer to the Corvette in pricing, but even in turbo form, it's performance wasn't superior to the Corvette.
In the late 70's, the automakers were doing all they could do to keep up with the ever changing and tightening Federal safety and fuel mileage standards. It was a struggle for them just to provide any level of performance. We were lucky that cars like the Corvette, Z/28, Trans-Am and Mustang GT even survived the era!
I listened to five seconds of that blabbering, and that was enough. He needs to go back to his Toyota Prius and drive to the store to pick up some tampons for himself.

He's driving the C3 in the winter? There wasn't much in the way of powerful mills in 79. The upside is the endless choices of engine swaps/mods/upgrades. Turn you 16 second C3 into a 11.92 monster in a weekend!
RCR guy did a review of 2014 Carlisle, and while he coudn't depart from his abusing sarcatical metaphor, he couldn't talk down the event, he had to admit respect for the Corvette community mindset.

He's just like an ill-behaving child, seeking to get attention by insulting people. Pretty pathetic.

He's doing Gonzo journalism, it's a thing since Hunter S. Thompson whether you like it of not.
Did you watch to the vid?
Ultimately he admit his admiration for the Corvette community, in a twisted way, but he does.
