when my corvette warms up and only under power.i hear a chirping noise which seems to be coming out from under the hood.i have replaced all the belts,the alteranor,the power sterring pump,but the noise is still there.could this be the water pump?the year of my vette is 1973.also the air semms to be fine and not making any noise.

 

Probably one of the belts is too loose.

 

keep in mind that cheap belts stretch.

 

To figure out if it's a belt making the chirping noise, and not a bearing, drizzle some water from a water battle onto each belt, one at a time. If the noise stops, the check pulley alignments especially the alternator. Washers can be used a shims to correct alignment.

If the chirp remains, then water pump bearing or alternator bearing etc.
