My Dad was a Crew Chief on a bomber in the Air Force (Army Air Corp) during WWII.
Except for a few good memories he would share occasionally, he never talked about his time in the service and I didn’t know about his accomplishments until after he passed away three years ago.
I never thought to ask him, but sure wish I would have.
