Reverse Shift Prob
Having problem shifting manual into reverse in my stock 71. Hard to get shifter over and into the reverse gear. The shifter is actually moving the console cover over to the left. Can I adjust to shift easier?

Something is loose. The lever should not get that far to the left. If it's the factory installed shifter, the frame of the shifter could be bent. I'd check for anything loose, then check all of the adjustments per the manual. Bushings are most likely worn too. Good news is rebuild parts are available.
