Default Any Recommendations

Any recommendations for a reputable Corvette repair shop in the Cleveland Ohio area? I do most of the work on my '70 vette myself, but there are a couple of issues that I don't want to tackle on my own.

If you are willing to drive around 70-80 miles Bair's Corvette's in Linesville, PA are respected around the country with corvettes. They specialize in C3's.

What are you trying to do? East of Cleveland here. I have a 70 that I have done just about everything to.....Might have it back on the road in the spring.

Thanks
Driving an hour or so away is no big deal if they are honest, and do the work right.

Thanks,
I am from the East Side Of Cleveland, and actually live in Geauga County now.
My reason I'm looking for a shop is that I'm limited to time, some tools I will need, and the extra space on top of it all that which I would need while trying to get the work done.
What I need to farm out to a shop is having the hardware and possibly cables installed for the emergency brakes, plus the rear differential mount is more than shot! The top rubber piece came right off in my hand when I was underneath it. My long-time friend owns a gas station with a 2 bay vehicle repair shop, but he doesn't want to tear into it either, because of limited Corvette knowledge, and tying up one of his lifts while we work on it.
Any place known that could do the work and do it correctly would be great.
Thanks again

I would also recommend Bair's. They are well known and are 1st class.

There is a place called Corvette Conspiracy in Cleveland. There is also a small shop in Mentor (Corvette Motorsports of Cleveland) that claims to do Corvette work. There is also another small shop in Chardon that does some Corvette restoration work....can't think of their name.

Both of the jobs you mentioned are not that big of a deal. The diff mount is only 1 bolt and bushing if I remember right. Rebuilding the e brake is a little more involved. Parts cost should be less than 100 bucks....

Thanks for the reply and input. Been out of town for a while.
I'm aware of both shops, and Corvette Motorsports of Cleveland does seem to be the closest place to me, but I'm just unable to find any reviews of the place and the quality of their work. I going to make the time to take a ride to their shop late next week and speak with them in regards to it. If that fails, I will more than likely call the people at Bairs, and have it transported there over the winter for the needed repairs.
Thanks everyone for the replies. I love my Vette, and I'm just being cautious about allowing someone else to work on it beyond me, or in my absence.

Thanks to all who recommended Bair's Corvettes! After locating them online, I decided that at least that I would have my car stored at their facility for the winter. Reading further about their shop, I didn't think that they'd have the time to go over my car, and do any work to it (being that they state that they have to turn away a lot of people who are looking to have their cars worked on) but to my surprise, that wasn't the case. Brian Bair, along with the staff of people and mechanics, were all extremely nice, and we spoke a lot about his car, and my car. When I finally asked, he immediately told me that they could, and would, do any work that I needed to the car. I'm very pleased, and although I took it our there to put it away a tad early (today), I'm glad it's in great hands!
Thanks again for the recommendations!!!

Default Bairs!

Don,

You made a great choice with Bairs. You can also use them for things like steering box and rear rebuilds.

I have dealt with Brian before and the service is above anything expected.

$50 a month, plus tax. It was a total of $318 for the winter. The place is huge, clean, has a security system, and it's directly on their property so they physically check on the building and cars too. Compared to other just "regular" outdoor storage places, it was much cheaper, and I believe much safer for my car.

I agree totally with their service so far. I asked them to go over the whole underneath of the car because I know I have some leakage issues beyond the rear mount and emergency brake system, and they had wasted no time. Their mechanic has already had it up on the rack, and has called me. I'm going to take a ride out there when I get the chance in the next couple of weeks, and he's going to put it back up on the rack to point out and explain exactly what all he sees it needs.

Just had my car there last week. Their main mechanic has been there for over 30 years. Luckily I live about 6-7 miles away.
