75 auto to manual
I just bought a Muncie M20 and would like to put it in my 75 auto which has a th400. I am not concerned about shifters, linkages, consoles or pedals. So my question is will the trans cross member mount and drive shaft need to be modified? Thanks, Dave

Just did a bunch more searching and this may be more involved than I first thought. I just finished a 4 speed Saginaw/ th350 swap in my 73 Camaro and it wasn't bad at all.
The th400 is 34" overall, the Muncie is 27 9/16". The th400 mount is back 27 15/16", the Muncie 20 9/16. Also the yoke and u-joints are different. Think I will pass. Thanks, Dave

Did you include the length of the bellhousing in your measurement? I think that you'll want to balance the driveshaft to the trans output yoke, and if the U joints are different, have the shop swap it out. By far the biggest job is changing the pedal assembly. But after it's finished, you'll soon forget the pain!
