Default Is this a pace car?

I found this on Ebay. Is it a pace car or a silver anniversary car? I can't find the site that will decode the VIN number for me so I figured I would ask here. Thanks

If that VIN is correct then it looks like the correct VIN for a pace car as you can check here:

The last six digits for the Corvette Coupe Pace Car begin at 900001 and run thru 906502, accounting for all 6,502 Corvette Coupe Pace Cars built in 1978.

This one sentence caught my attention.

.the frame is rusty but solid

It sat in the driveway for 6 years before the next person bought it.
It needs a good inspection before purchase.

This one is rough. It will take a pile of money and a ton of time to bring it back. You may be better off paying a good amount more for a much nicer example.

The 9 indicates a Pace Car. This one is #1883, assembled in early April, 1978.

I was seriously considering buying the car. I wish I could look it over in person. My first corvette was a 1979 basket case so I was thinking I already put on of these back together but then again I could not help think about the 1973 barn find I had. I had to replace every seal and bushing on that car. That one turned into a lot more work than I had imagined.

My advice is never to purchase a car you have not personally inspected.
