finished parking brake install
Thanks to those who offered suggestions on installing all the parking brake parts my 68 convert's previous owner removed and discarded. The job was a little tedious with the axle flanges in the way, but I used some of my surgical instruments to reach where my fingers would not fit. Best tip (forgot who gave it) was to compress the shoe hold-down springs and wrap the compressed with dental floss. Worked like a charm and then was easy to cut after installing. All new stainless steel parts in place and adjusted. While I was at it I also added cryo treated drilled and slotted rotors and upgraded the disc pads to Hawk ferro ceramic and put Speed Bleeders on the caliper bleeders. Now on to the next job! RA
