I had sent Lars a note a few months ago about rebuilding the Qjet for my 72. He responded that he was not doing it anymore and that he was working with the racing team (if I remember correctly).
I did not bother him after that, as he has a right to make that decision.
I wish I had sent it to him earlier, but it is what it is.
I don't understand why some people act they way they do on any forum. I guess they get keyboard muscles. We have so many great people on this forum who are always willing to give out info that it is amazing. Then a few jerks kick up the dust and the good people get tires of the B.S.
Like Rodney King said "Why can't we all get along".

I'm with you Bob. Sorry to hear about Lars but his decision to make and after a few awkward times myself here I guess I can understand why he moved on. Best of success to him, he is a good man.

Last year I sent my carb off to Lars to get rebuilt. I was so excited when I got an e-mail from USPS saying that it was delivered to my apartment. However, when I went home on my lunch break there was a slight problem...someone stole the package from my doorstep!
I cannot thank Lars enough for reaching out to this forum and finding another 1980 Q-Jet carb for my daily driver. It was torture to see my car just sitting there waiting for a miracle. So in the end I had to spend some extra money for another rebuild, but Lars cut me a break in a unique situation.
Who knows if he still reads our posts, but thanks again friend!
I will consider my self fortunate to have had Lars rebuild my Q-Jet for the 74 last year. While it is still in the box, I am happy to know that it was done by a true expert. And he always answered his emails either the same day or the next day with a reply. As mentioned, hopefully he will return one day!!! A toast to Lars.... At least we all know he is enjoying a beer!!! Tom
He did respond to my e-mail today with kind greetings so he is still out there. I was concerned that perhaps health reasons prevented him from doing so. So I am now having a 500ml can of Carlsberg as I contemplate that jewel of a Q-Jet sitting on top of my 350.
