I have mostly been build jeeps here in Iceland the most recent being this one:
But yesterday I bought this:
This baby is missing it's engine and transmission, the plan is to make it black, restore everything to new and I need an engine and transmission.
I wanted to ask the big question, what engine and transmission should I go with?
I don't have unlimited budget and I'm not going to race the car.
What to do ?

One of the best and cheapest ways to make the drive train dependable is to purchase a 350 crate motor and a rebuilt turbo 350 transmission. That would be a good starting point.
