This might be a dumb question, however can anyone tell me which way the header gasket is meant to be installed? Does the silver side go towards the cylinder head or the headers? Does it matter?

Thanks very much for your reply. That is a relief as I have just finished tightening the bolts and luckily I put the silver side towards the headers. It seemed to make sense that way but I wanted to check.
