I have a 1980...looking to replace both horns. One is weak and the other is dead. What are good replacements for the two horns? I'm seeing several options online. All ears...
The cheap replacement horns you can get at your local parts store will work just fine. We always get 1 A note and 1 F note.... Makes the loudest horn combo you can get.
Some aftermarket horns require you to wire in a ground but that's pretty simple too. I always mount them where the factory horns were mounted, on the header bar in front. I'm not sure where I would mount them if I had to.... Possibly on the front of then inner fender...

Thanks for the help. I plan to mount them in the factory locations. A & F it is.
If you are looking to keep your original horns, have them rebuilt. I used, The Horn Works, to rebuild the horns for my 70 SS Chevelle. They came out factory fresh and work as new. Jerry

I plan to keep the original horns so I'll probably end up getting them restored eventually. Thanks for the tip!
