Default Replacement horn suggestions

I have a 1980...looking to replace both horns. One is weak and the other is dead. What are good replacements for the two horns? I'm seeing several options online. All ears...

Be sure to ask the forum if there are better places to mount the horns also. I asked and got no answers.

The cheap replacement horns you can get at your local parts store will work just fine. We always get 1 A note and 1 F note.... Makes the loudest horn combo you can get.

Some aftermarket horns require you to wire in a ground but that's pretty simple too. I always mount them where the factory horns were mounted, on the header bar in front. I'm not sure where I would mount them if I had to.... Possibly on the front of then inner fender...

Found these listed at Autozone. Not sure which notes they are though. Will these work?

I went w/ a set of BMW 7 series E38 horns (94-01). Super loud- made by Fiamm

A pair of these might set you back a couple hundred at the dealership- or about $30-40 pair on eBay- upullit auto parts maybe $20.

If you have ever heard a pair- this things are loud- that's why I went w/ two sets!!!

Tucked them out of the way -under each fender-

Default Horn

If you are looking to keep your original horns, have them rebuilt. I used, The Horn Works, to rebuild the horns for my 70 SS Chevelle. They came out factory fresh and work as new. Jerry

I plan to keep the original horns so I'll probably end up getting them restored eventually. Thanks for the tip!

Tip...when mounting horns, orient the open end DOWN, so they don't fill up with water

You can check The Horn Works website for pricing. My pair were rebuilt for about $190. Jerry
