Why it's nice to have two Corvettes
It's like having two girlfriends. When one is off line, you can always go back to the other one! Sassy, the '74 is waiting for a clutch and new throwout bearing to come in from Summit on Monday, but meanwhile, I just got Lola, the '95 back from the shop ($1,400, numerous parts and five months later!).
The timing was just right. I picked up the C4 in the morning, washed her, did a quick spray wax and took her out. It was a beautiful Fall Day, nice and cool (for SoCal, that's something!), with puffy clouds and me and Shop Dog were happy to get out. I forgot how comfortable these cars are. Deep leather seats, perfect positioning. They're kind of like adult sized baby seats, they cradle you the same way.
I love my '74, but for totally different reasons, I love, love my late C4! They are smooth, fast and comfy. Awesome precision handling and very sure footed, inspiring confidence through every turn. The interior is very jet fighter cockpit like, and you sit deep, deep in a C4. In fact, they had to redesign the C5 and C6, to make them easier to get out of, because getting out of a C4, isn't no easy task. Happy to have her back in the stable!
She just turned 20 years old this Summer and that's the original Torch Red paint. Yes, there are some small chips here and there, but she still looks almost like a new car.

It's not nice to brag ... Just kidding , the C4 looks nice , seems like everyone I see around my area is dogged out . When they are clean they are beautiful .
I have two also a white 2014 and a gray 1980 . The 1980 is my weekend / tinker with car and the 2014 is great anytime . If I had more room and more money , I would have three ...
Have fun , that's what it's all about ... Chris

Whats crazy is how long those Corvette shops take to fix your car. My specialist takes minimum 3 to 4 weeks for any small repair. Baffles my mind.
I have a quad and a Harley that fill in the time when I am at the shop.

White is a rare color for the C6's. You don't see many at all. Everybody and their brother, got Atomic Orange . As far as extra cars, one of these days...!
Since I've got two 'Vettes, my next five picks are going to be a variety!
'71 Boss 351 (blue-silver with a top loader),
'70 Challenger RT, convertible, B5 Blue, four speed car,
'71 Trans Am or '74 Trans Am, with the SD455 and finally an early '71-72 Pantera.
'68 to '69 Cadillac Eldo.

I am fortunate to have a mechanic who knows older vehicles and loves working on them . He is also totally trustworthy and doesn't bang you over the head . My car was running horribly and had me all fixed up in three days .
3-4 weeks seems excessive but then again I know how those "specialists" are .

Congratulations on your new C4. It looks great. I have always liked them and they deserve far more respect than they get. They really ushered in the modern Corvette era. Enjoy it.

Wow, I like, I like!
They only painted 1,003 late C4's in that color! I've personally, only seen two in the last five years and you've got two! I'd love to get my hands on a Competion Yellow convertible, black top, black interior and make it a stick too. The chances of another one, pulling up alongside is close to zero. In fact, I'll add that combo to my automotive bucket list!
A lot of very nice C4's for cheap, well cared for and if anybody ever wanted a fast, smooth cruiser, that you can do 300 miles on the Interstate and get out, without your butt feeling it, this is the car.
Look hard and you can get a late C4, with a nice interior, for under $6K! Like this one (and this wasn't a popular color back then, so you don't see many in Polo Green, but the color grows on you). The interior is immaculate and well cared for. Not much dough, for a whole lot of go! Very, very clean Corvette (and yes, C4's are worthy of that name!).

Great collection of C3's By far my favorite body style. I started with a 68 back in the early 70s and will always have a C3.
