Default A/C Question

I have a question regarding the long copper tube that comes off of my expansion valve... please see pics below... From what I can tell looking at my old a/c evaporator, a copper wire was wrapped against it. Do I wrap this copper tube around the big/upper evaporator tube and secure it with a wrap of sorts. The end splits in two directions, does one end stay out of the wrap or would all of this be wrapped up? Thanks in advance, Jason

thats the sensor bulb. that gets taped using a tar based tape against the evaporator tube thats on top. the tape is available at any HAVC shops

So just tidy it up and wrap as much of it as I can against the tube? Short of kinking the tube, is there a wrong way to do this?

you only need the bulb touching the tube. so just tidy it up and tape it up. you will know you did it wrong when your AC doesn't work

That's the part I'm trying to avoid! Wish I understood the A/C system like I do the rest of the car. I've never had A/C to mess up!

I feel your pain last year I learned more then I needed to know when I had to do dads 67 with AC. The worse part is we did not take it apart. But it worked when we got done.

That sensing bulb needs to be secured tight to the line, so it can sense evaporator temp to feed refrigerant.
Too loose & it will not sense temperature.
ASk for some pics on here.
