Am I missing something? This looks really good to my untrained eye. It’s only at $10K so far and I am interested. I swear I would never buy a vehicle without physically looking at it but this looks interesting.
I don’t think eBay links are allowed so here is the listing 181909518977
Here is the auction link http://www.ebay.com/itm/181909518977?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2648&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

I think it looks like the ad says: A very nice, straight survivor with original paint. It's good to see an original front rubber bumper that isn't falling apart yet. At No Reserve, someone is going to get an excellent car at a fair price.
From the pics, it appears to be a survivor in decent shape. Even has the wire holders on the valve covers and the warning label on the fan shroud!
Good luck.
Fran
You can bet with a no reserve sale and the price that low, the seller has someone ready to make sure it gets a minimum he has in mind. I predict you'll see the price double before it ends in a few hours.
That's a 15,000.00 Corvette any day. I would not be afraid to buy it sight unseen. GOOD LUCK. I think it will bring more than 10,000.00
Do you know the car and know it's for example rust free?
I bought my car without inspection off ebay only because the price I felt was down there, modded 69 convertible for 6200.00 to my door, but the car had hidden rust and I still swapped out the chassis, faster than repairing it's chassis, my point is, while some cats here have a super savvy eye and can assume things the end moral is get it inspected or keep the fingers crossed....

But at this point it's a mute point. From what I saw from the pictures it looks good as far as the frame goes. at 10 grand you would not be bad off even if there were some issues. As Terry said If you snooze you lose. One thing I have learned is that the more original parts on the car the more it was cared for & not a pieces & parts Corvette.

Did you means "mute" or "moot" point? ...neither really apply as you have not personally inspected the car, I guess moot could apply if neither of us are interested in buying it...I am not
Ha, did I get you going on that,
okay sorry for the but wouldn't you agree that in person inspection is always better than relying on pictures and assumptions?
But I also believe this car will never sell for 10K the last moment and sport bidders will driven it up several K then lets see if they pay of deadbeat then it gets re listed ad nauseam

Thats how I got my 69 on ebay, several hours left bidding to 4K something modded 69 convertible, no reserve "looked" good, hah,
I called him and he said a price I countered, he took it, ended the auction, and a month later my car was here, yeah, that month to get it was a whole other story.
$12 grand in 40 bids with 3 hours to go . . . .front bumper looks a shade off but can't tell if replacement or just age despite what the inspector reported . . .wish it had air- then it would top $15 but as another poster wrote, not the most popular color for the year but definitely a 70's thing.
Looks like a nice straight car . . . a good value even in the low/mid $13s IMO.
Nice car if it can be had for under $15k.
The car is located only 40 mins from where I live.
I don't trust no reserve auctions too much.. shill bidding is not uncommon.. some sellers have someone win the auction if it doesn't reach the desired amount..
