Just bought a 78 Pace Car
I just purchased a 78 Pace Car. I bought it off Ebay for $13,900 site unseen. It's a L48 with 36k miles. The 8 track still works and it even came with some cool tapes (Bob Segar, AC/DC & The Bee Gees). I have a C7 currently as well.
I was born in 78 so I've always loved this car. Even as a kid I remember how cool I thought it looked. I had one about 8 years ago but lost it in a divorce
. I figured it was time to get another one.
The exterior looks decent from 15 feet but she needs a paintjob. It also needs an A/C conversation, belts, hoses, gaskets, brakes, exhaust, power steering ram, lots of minor things and elbow grease and TLC.
The good news is the interior is very nice. I've dropped $1,000 into miscellaneous restoration trim parts, $2,500 on mechanical repairs and I'm about to spend $4,000 on a decent paintjob.
Here's are some pics of the day she was delivered. More to come after the elbow grease and money spending.

So what' is last five digits of the VIN auto or four-speed? I've done some research and writing on the 78 Pace Car so feel free to drop me a note when issues arise.

I won't be modding it at all. Just keeping it original. The last 5 of the VIN are 05261. It's an automatic

Looks Great, I've been tossing the idea of a Pace Car around for several years. I'd like a L-82 4 speed but they don't come cheap.
