Default Wiper Compartment Cover

New owner here. Was wondering about the cover. Is it a good addition? How does it attach? Gotta admit the finish in the compartment is ugly. Is the piece worth the 50 bucks? Oh yea do you paint it the car color?

It does make a great addition and keeps a lot of the junk out of the wiper area. I simply screwed it down to the rear lip of the hood area and did some trimming to the wiper arm openings since the arms were hitting. I also added a rubber strip along the windshield edge. If ya need pics let me know..

Cool, Thank you for the pics. Think I'll get one. Cleans that space up nicely.

I put them on my 73 nd 75, It really cleaned up the area and appearance for me. I also had to trim some in the wiper arm area. I held these down in place with velcro along the sides. Since they are not exposed to the outside/wind they are holding in place very well for the past 7 years.

I've had mine installed for about 15 years and never even bothered to attach it. Did not have to trim it and never painted it. About as easy as it gets to install.

One screw at each end. Krylon semi-flat.

You can also clean and detail the wiper bay. Makes a huge difference.

This is one example posted by Alan 71, which motivated me to detail mine.

That's just out right nice looking. Having installed the cover allowed me an excuse to let mine look like crap.
