Default Hooker Side Pipes

I moved the Hooker Headers and side pipes from my 76 to my 77.
What have some of you done to the chrome molding under the door?
It won't re mount as there is not enough clearance?
Looks like it needs to be cut and notched?
On the 76 I didn't install the chrome.

I reluctantly ended up notching mine. The fit varies from side to side. One side would not go on without the notches and the other side would, but was pushed out by the side mount bolts.

I used a 3" drum sander and opened mine up around the primary tubes. Got them fit, and still haven't put them back on. Other projects got in the way.

Very easy to cut them slightly might vary from side to side Or you may not have to cut them at all. Easy fix.

Paso,

The installation instructions address the cutting of notches for fitment. Let me know if you don't have them, and I, or someone here quicker than me, will post them for you.

I didn't know they had instructions Steve, I bought them new over 10 years ago, so yes I think they would be helpful if anyone has them.

If you're asking me, I've yet to install the pipes, or the factory A/C compressor.

I used threaded rod couple of nuts I think there's a spacer in there and then final nut to hold the bracket.
