I do like customs as long as they are tastefully done and purpose built. Like this one.
As long as it has the mark 5 markings on it, I would say, yes its a cool car. Take off the mark 5 markings and it is just another ugly over the top Corvette.

If you guys are in your 50's you'd know what this is. It the Speed Racer Mach 5 not a corvette. It has pogo stick jumpiing abilities, tank tread traction that comes outof the tire to wrap around the tire andspikes that come out too. It can turn into a submarine, has fold out wings to give it a glide ratio, a drone, oil slicks and I think center tire shredders like 007's DB5. It was the coolest cartoon car of the 70's. And Speed had a chimpanzee as a pet that dressed like his younger brother.
Hah I watched Speed Racer every day after school in the 70's.
..And just then it dawned on me why I want to mod out everything I touch...
That little bastard monkey brain washed me when I was a kid!
Someone should buy all these crazy one off project C3's and open a museum!
The mark 5 was nothing but a totally made up cartoon car not based on anything as far as I know. I'm sure most folks already know that. But, the body lines of a C3 do lend themselves to a sort of mark 5 look. Which is why most mark5 clones I have ever seen were built from C3s.

I would drive it... but then I am wierd and would also drive the 60's batmobile and Grandpa Munster's Dragula to run errands around town. Parking it on the other hand.... how long do you think it is?
I always thought that if I bought a white C3 I would have vynil graphics cut like that... just for fun.
I saw the one at the Peterson museum and it looked much better that the one in this post. Also to be correct, it's gotta have a trunk for Spridle and Chim Chim.
