Default Inspection needed

Is there anyone in the Phoenix area that would be willing to look at a 1969 for me? I'll pay you for your trouble. (DISREGARD) This one is way too rough.

Also anyone near Queenstown Maryland? I like this one. It is above my budget but is a perfect match for what I want. (SOLD)

the first car is on the C3 registry with additional pictures www.c3registry.com, looks a little rough in the engine compartment and interior

the second one doesnt have too much to go on other than a 327 would not be in a 69 and the price sounds high

Zak: You are correct to widen your search area and most members will be happy to take a look for you. Not sure about all the mods on that 69 but they might work for you. Here is a 72 you might consider in Tampa, looks pretty nice. https://.tampa.craigslist.org/ppl/to/5304744103.html

For remote I used a pay for Mobile service, NCRS chapters and Forum friends when looking for my C3.

The Mobile service cost money but saved me plane tickets and time off work.

Yes. I think it is high as well. However it looks like a nice car other than the wrong engine and the price being too high. But a red hardtop convertible is exactly what I want. Well, black would be EXACTLY what I want but red is next. What would a fair price be for this car if everything checks out other than wrong engine? The wrong engine isn't an issue with me other than it is a bargaining tool to get the price down. If it is a decent engine that is all I'm concerned about. I hope to speak with the seller today about it.

Anyone near Annapolis MD that can take a look at the red convertible for me. He might go $21,500. That car speaks to me. Some of the others I was considering were compromises. This one looks great to me. But I need to confirm. The seller is going to send me some more pictures.

If you plan on shipping you should check the rates and expected delivery times before making a deal on a car. I'd go with enclosed shipping and with a reputable company that owns its own trucks rather than through a broker.

There is a pretty nice looking red/red 72 that just went on the Dallas Craigslist at $18K Might be worth a look. With regard to shipping I would deal with the major lines. I once tried saving a few bucks on transport and wound up with multiple excuses, broken equipment etc. I had a 66 Corvette shipped to me last year from Grand Rapids, MI to St. Louis, MO and it was $900 enclosed transport. I used Passport and they did a great job.

I think I saw that one last night. I'm calling the seller. I found a black 70 near Pensicola FL That I really like for $15999 with factory A/C (not working but all there), P/S, P/B, and power windows. Original block, automatic (my wife will be happy). No black in 70 from factory but I like black. Anyone want to look at it for me?

Ronnie, I can put you in touch with someone in Pensacola if you decide to go that route. If he can't do it, he's a fixture in the Corvette hobby and knows someone in the area that can look at it. He may even know the car.

Good luck... GUSTO
