1971 454 Electrical Short

1971 454 Electrical Short
Hello
My 71 454 has a short that shows at the battery cables when I test for ohms. Also, the interior lights stay on in a brown out type of brightness, even when doors are closed.
In the past I had a short at the started (wires melted together), so I looked there first. I took the wires off solenoid and the short goes away at the battery. Nothing melted together either.
I next checked and the purple, red and yellow wires and they each show a short.
Not sure what to try next?
