Just curious, what supplier or parts house has everyone had good luck with purchasing from?

Got my 78 from Zip. Original style copper and brass.

Corvette Central wouldn't verify copper/brass.
Many vendors on ebay SHOW copper/brass but are actually aluminum.
Tried shopping local, Napa, Autozone, etc. all showed copper/brass in their books but again, aluminum.
If you don't mind aluminum buy local, anyone can get them.

They have migrated to Aluminum and plastic now...

The core we carry is as pictured on our site. Original Style

What is the real difference in wear between copper and alumimium?

Volunteer Vette has the OE style. I looked at one of the aluminum ones at Auto Zone. Opened it at the parts counter, and it was already bent. The aluminum ones might be fine, but they are definitely fragile.

Whatever you end up buying, take it to a local radiator shop and have it pressure tested. It doesn't take but 5 minutes, and will give you peace of mind.
