New Paint to cover vandalism! Sweet!
Here are some pics of the flames that Boitnotts in Fairfield, Oh did on my 72 conv to cover up vandals damage done to the driver side. They took House of Kolor paint, started with Black Cherry on the nose and finished with Brandywine at the end of the flames. Glad I decided to keep it after all and not sell it this fall. Sweeet!
I know you stock guys will love it!!!

HEY ! I like flames !! I put flames on my 60 and I'll put flames on my 70 too. When I take my 60 to a car cruise and see people looking at it I will walk up to them and tell them they will either love it or hate it. MOST people love it, it has a very period correct hot rod look. The haters... I just laugh at em! I wish my flames looked that good, that's a beautiful job !

Yes, I do somewhere, what they did looked like a crowbar/screwdriver/knife on the front fender as it was deep, then keyed down the rest of the side. That or possibly were just running with the crowbar/screwdriver/knife which is why it got so much lighter down the side.
The best part of it was the black cherry in the front covered up 44 years worth of road chips. I like the way the flames go with the Hilborn scoop.
It basically is a hot rod anyway with 349 rwhp and 415 ft lbs Tq to the ground.
Next will be the suspension and steering to make all that power a little easier to handle on the pavement.

I'm not a fan of flames either.
In this case, with the side pipes, and intake scoop along with the color of the flames I think it looks really good. Nicely done!

I like the paint touch workover..Won't have any problem finding YOUR '72 in the parking lots..
Sad that some people seem to want to damage and break and hurt..
our Lord misses nothing and He'll get 'em steered right sooner than later.
Our old '78 Corvette is the first of many cars and trucks that my family of seven has ever owned that I think hard about where and when I leave it parked..Jim

I am a stock guy but that looks pretty good to me. Flames, side pipes and a blower. Very nice

A real shame about the vandalism.
I can appreciate the original cars and the non-original cars..but if I'm at a show where both are present, I'll walk past 10 original cars with nothing more than a glance on my way to see the modified car. I know what original cars look like, I was there when they were new.
Personalization of these cars, is what peaks interest in what can be done, and in some cases what shouldn't be done..but in both cases it's the owners vision/right to do with as he pleases.

They didn't stop at the paint, apparently...look at that hole they put in the hood
Glad you were able to turn the damage around and what could have been a net negative into a positive. Hopefully you can nail who did it...
