Rebuilt wiper switch
Hey. I bought a new 68 wiper motor and the park switch isnt contacting so I had to modify it to work. Its okay for now, I'm going to buy the rebuilt unit so I know its right. But my other problem is the new wiper switch. Its intermittent and when I turn it on sometmes it works sometimes not. If I move the lever up and down I can hear the relay clicking. Where can I get an oem switch or a rebuilt one?

I'm lost. What are you calling the "park" switch? There is no lever to push up and down. The wiper switch is the button at the top of the center cluster.

Rereading my post I can see the confusion. 2 problems. 1 motor, 2 wiper switch. Both are replacements not OEM. First is the motor. For it to park there is a small switch. It is inside the wiper motor and there is an actual lever that is pushed down to disengage the ground when the switch is put in the off position. In the 2 running speeds there is a small electro magnet that keeps the lever up out of the way until power is interrupted. If you take off the pump and remove the motor from the wall you can get a good angle to see the operation. If the motor isn't connected to the wiper mechanism it will not move slow enough to come to a full stop. Knowing this is very important as I found out, good thing I read it here first.
Mine wouldnt come close to moving the actual switch.
2. The actual wiper switch is made sloppily and is loose on the inside connections. Im looking for an oem rebuild.
