I would be nervous as hell down there with a vette....I used to live there in the late 80's and saw a car accident every time i drove my car.

I spend 5+ months down here in winter and thought about bringing my '82'(nothing special) down, but I began thinking about all the traffic in the winter months and the way some people drive, I had second thoughts about. Haven't seen many older Vets, just newer ones.

I live in Bradenton, Florida year round and have my 1978 Pace Car out just about every day if it is not raining. I'm retired but stay busy and drive my Vette to the golf course, running errands, getting groceries for my wife when she is working, going out to lunch and several other places. Yes, the traffic can be daunting at times but you can't let that stop you from driving your C-3. When I'm out and about, I don't see too many other C-3s. That's a shame because I know there are others in the area. A lot of car shows here every week and I try to make a few of them with the pace car. I'm just living the dream down here in Florida. LOL.

The 79 is in the garage on ramps, doing some repairs and adding a strut brace, after that new seats it's not going anywhere soon. Taking the DW's Fusion any how. Not looking forward to the long drive but a little warm weather will make the wait till spring easier.

Hotrodnick, give me a call when you get down here to Florida and settled in and we can meet for lunch or something. I now have a 1978 Pace Car but I owned a 1979 years ago that I bought new and had a short time before selling it to buy a 1964 Corvette roadster. It's a small world!
