Ok I have to turn around my crossmember since it was installed backwards and isn't letting the trans connect to the engine properly. I disconnected the two bolts on both sides yet I can't get it out. I lifted the trans up on a jack since I'm doing this on the floor. The trans is not connected to the crossmember but I'm having a hard time getting the crossmember out. Does anyone have any suggestions to help me out?
Ok since my transmission isn't hooking up to the engine I finally got the cross member down and you can clearly see the mount is backwards. Once I turn it around do I have to turn my crossmember around too or is it facing the correct way already?
I would bolt the trans to the engine first. Once that's done the puzzle should fall into place.
What year do you have, and which trans?
I only have pics of my 75 installing a 700r4 now

Ok makes sense but how do you later it on the crossmember? Is it bracket mount then crossmember or mount bracket then crossmember? I have a 82 with the original 700r4. What connects to the holes right behind the oil pan? Cause the mount connects to the holes near the drive shaft.
