I do not. But, winter for me is much different than winter for you. I also purposely schedule maint. And repairs in the winter, which are not conducive to putting on and taking off a cover.
I certainly do use a good quality cover while in long term storage. My garage is unheated and our cats have access (mice problems solved!). Just before storage I usually give it a good wash and wax so it looks like new when spring rolls around. Hopefully spring will come soon!!
I am wondering if you cover your cars when stored in garages for the winter months?
I do, and have been doing so for the past 30 years with no problems. I'll start 'em up every 4 weeks or so, and run 'em for 20 minutes, then put the covers back on.
No. The only time that I cover a car is at night in the motel parking lot when at car shows out of town. I enjoy seeing the cars when I'm in the garage. They are part of The Hot Rod Grille decor!
My car is in the garage and covered all winter. I also try to keep it covered in the summer months also. The only time its not covered is if, I come home from a car show on a Sunday afternoon and I'm going back out on Wednesday to a cruise night. Then I won't cover her up, I'll just put it in the garage naked...
In my case I am new C3 owner as of December. The previous owner's took a lot of care for the car and included cover among full documentation "Great Corvette Care Takers". I have been looking for 2 years to get this specific car (non# matching; a kick *** Driver". The cover they included is of fleece quality, I have her fuel stablized and on jacks to keep the red lines tires from getting "Flat Spots" and a trickle charger. It is up to you on how you store. I have a few boats and winterising them is a PAIN! LOL
