79 body off frame. Looking to freshen up the area directly behind front bumper, where the big vac actuators, front support, radiator support, etc are. Couple issues....
I pulled body with front bumper on for a couple of reasons. 1- The drivers side front fender is damaged. (I will be repairing this after body is back on frame) 2- The fasteners are rusted pretty bad.
So should I pull the front bumper now? Or can this area be reached if I wait until body is back on to pull it? If removing now, any suggestions on how to deal with the bolts? On the rear bumper there was lots of room, I was able to get a socket on all of them, some came out, some snapped and the ones that were left I cut off. It looked alot tighter on the front, but maybe I'm being pessimistic.
Ideally, I'd like to leave the front bumper on for now, and address this area after body is back on frame, but not sure I'll be able to access this area then.
i changed over all the vacuum headlight stuff to a simple electric pop up headlights. while i was there I used a wire wheel set on my drill and cleaned that area pretty damn good. there is plenty of room with the headlights, and radiator out.

Nice, thanks. Did you paint/coat in there while you were at it? What electric conversion did you do?
